Holly Willoughby outfit causes ANGER among fans – can you see why?
Holly Willoughby joked that she resembeled an avocado in a £75 olive green cashmere jumper by Marks and Spencer, black trousers from French Connection retailing at £75 and black court shoes by LK Bennett for £195 on todays episode of This Morning.
Posting to her 3.4 million Instagram followers, Holly added the avocado emoji making reference to the fact her colour choices for todays outfit resemble that of the popular fruit.
Holly is a major champion of high street brands with all three of todays retailers being favourites of the TV presenter.
Fans are always quick to comment on Holly’s outfits, with todays causing controversy online.
Holly did not wear socks, and some fans were not happy. This is because today is World Down Syndrome Day, and it is marked by people wearing odd socks to show their support, the idea being chromosomes look like socks and those with Down Syndrome have an extra chromosome.
Expressing indignation, one fan said: “No odd socks?!? Well done Phill!”
Another said: “Where’s your odd socks @hollywilloughby”
However, some fans rushed to her defence, and one said: “SERIOUSLY why is everyone jumping on the “beat on holly” bandwagon…… it’s all of had pop up on my feed and news pop ups, so what no socks, I didn’t know it was odd sock day and so what if she wants to wear a skirt with no tights….geeeez people, ever heard of “my body my rules” or “if you don’t have anything nice to say then SHUT THE **** UP” yeah this is a lot of publicity for her but some of the snide comments are completely absurd!!!! Get a grip.” (sic)
However, Holly did mark the day by posting a video on her Instagram this morning showing a segment of yesterdays episode where children with Down Syndrome and their mums came into the show for a sing-a-long. The mums and kids had been brought into the studio as a video of them all singing together had gone viral.
As a mother-of-three herself Holly said it melted her heart seeing all the children on the programme.
She said in the caption: “This is why I love working on @thismorning.”
Last week Holly ended up in the headlines over her short skirts. Her stylist, Angie Smith posted a picture of an outfit which never made the cut for This Morning as it was deemed too short. However, Holly then wore a skirt that was practically the same length for the programme causing everyone to question what the difference was.
Since then Holly has been a lot more covered up, with three of her outfits in the past week having been trousers rather than skirts. She did however yesterday brave the short skirt again.
As well as her presenting slot on This Morning, Holly is also an ambassador for Garnier alongside her friends Davina McCall and Angela Scanlon.
An official picture from Garnier was released yesterday showing the three beautiful ladies with their luscious locks.
Holly often posts pictures of the three of them when filming for the hair care brand.
She posted a picture back in February of them holding Angela’s baby bump, Angela gave birth at the end of last month to a baby girl.
