(Reuters) – A missile hit a residential building in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, on Sunday, killing one person and wounding others, regional governor Oleh Synehubov said.
A Reuters image from the scene showed the fire engulfing part of the apartment building. Synehubov said the strike took place in the central city district of Kyiv.
“According to updated information, one person died as a result of a Russian rocket hitting a residential building,” Synehubov wrote on Telegram.
There was no immediate indication of how many people were injured. Synehubov, who earlier said three people were injured, said the victims were being treated.
