TSA has temporarily stopped screening passengers and this has affected some outbound flights.
Most of our terminals are affected by the power outage and crews are assessing the problem. Some outbound flights may be affected due to power outages on the jet bridges. Please wait more time and check the flight status while we learn more.

Power was restored about an hour later.
It is unclear what caused the outage.
ABC 7 reported:
A power outage at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon temporarily halted passenger security screening, but service was restored after about an hour, officials said.
The outage was reported around 2:30 p.m., and airport officials say most terminals and traffic lights in the terminal area were affected.
Although the airport resumed normal operations, LAX officials warned that some outbound flights may be delayed because there was no power to operate the jet bridges.
It is not clear how many, if any, flights were affected. The power outage also prompted the Transportation Security Administration to stop screening passengers. Passengers have been advised to allow extra time to catch their flights.
