In a weird incident, an armed man looted Rs 40 lakh from an Axis Financial institution department in Shamli district on Tuesday. In response to studies from the police, the theft was executed in broad daylight, leaving financial institution staff and prospects in a state of misery.
Axis Financial institution Supervisor Naveen Jain recounted the particulars of the incident, stating {that a} masked intruder entered his workplace, brandishing a firearm and demanding a considerable amount of money.
After getting into the supervisor’s workplace urgently, he knowledgeable him that he owed Rs 38.5 lakh on his dwelling mortgage. He warned that if he did not pay the cash instantly, his home could be offered at public sale. He expressed concern that his youngsters could be left with no dwelling if he could not elevate the funds.
Jain added that the robber threatened suicide and implied he was in dire want of the funds to repay a mortgage, heightening the strain throughout the incident.
“The masked man entered my cabin, took me at gunpoint, and requested for Rs 40 lakh. He threatened to kill me if I failed to offer the money,” Jain defined. In a second of desperation, Jain directed his cashier, Rohit, to meet the robber’s calls for.
After acquiring the money, the robber made a swift getaway on a motorbike.
Superintendent of Police Ram Sewvak Gautam confirmed that authorities have gathered CCTV footage from the financial institution and are actively questioning financial institution employees as a part of the continuing investigation.
