It’s not been a great start to the season for PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard and it seems that his form with Chelsea extends to off the pitch, judging by a video of him playing table tennis against Blues youngster Charly Musonda.
The Belgian pair spent some time off together after Chelsea’s defeat at Manchester City, with Hazard taking a chance to unwind after a bad day at the office for him and his team-mates.
Musonda, 18, is one of Chelsea’s legion of young players and he and his two brothers, also players in Chelsea’s academy, are so close to Hazard that the youngster calls the first-team star ‘big bro’.

The former Anderlecht academy player, who like Hazard is a forward-thinking midfielder, was the subject of loan interest from Marseille this summer but he has so far remained in London.
While Hazard was part of Chelsea’s side that crashed to a 3-0 defeat in Manchester, Musonda was part of the Chelsea Under 21 side who were similarly beaten 3-1 by Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Friday evening.
With trips to Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion coming up this weekend for Musonda and Hazard respectively, they will be hoping for better results to kick-start their seasons.
But when it came to table tennis, it was a case of youth triumphing over experience as Musonda spanked a shot over the net to claim victory on the point posted on Instagram.
