Gigi Hadid Removed a Prankster From Chanel’s Runway (Dazed)
Models were busy walking the finale of Chanel’s Spring 2020 show today when a woman dressed in tweed jumped on the runway and joined them. From Instagram videos from the event, it appears she was going to try to pose in a section with Gigi Hadid. But Gigi wasn’t having it, and put her hand on the woman’s shoulder and escorted her out of view. The prankster has since been identified as Marie S’Infiltre, a comedian who has jumped on runways in the past.

Sacai’s Worldly Spring 2020
According to Vogue Runway, designer Chitose Abe based her Spring 2020 collection off the cover of George Clinton’s 1978 album One Nation Under a Groove. She even reached out to him to get permission! Not only did Clinton agree, he also sat from row at the Sacai show. Abe’s inspiration was loosely interpreted, but then again the best references are the subtlest ones. As usual, Sacai shone in the tailoring and proportions of its silhouettes. The brand is probably the best in the business when it comes to styles that are incredibly fashion-forward without losing wearability.

Coach Teams Up With Michael B. Jordan on a Capsule Collection
Michael B. Jordan, the first global face of Coach menswear, is amping up his partnership by designing his first collection for the brand. The actor/producer drew from his love of anime, and created a capsule based on Naruto, the popular manga franchise celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. “It was important to design pieces that represent my cultural influences and my community; pieces that I could see my friends, family and fans wearing with pride,” Jordan explains. “As with all aspects of my work, this collection is about bringing fresh perspectives and unique voices to the forefront. Expanding into the fashion design space was rewarding beyond my expectations.” The Coach x Michael B. Jordan collection is now available in stores and online.

Forever 21’s Founders Borrowed Millions From Their Daughters (Business of Fashion)
In 2015, Jin Sook and Do Won Chang — founders of Forever 21 — borrowed $5 million from the trusts of their daughters, Linda and Esther Chang, to support the business after strains from a massive global expansion. The expansion seems to be a major factor in Forever 21’s turn to bankruptcy, as its supply chain was not able to support many of its new stores. Meanwhile, its California aesthetic failed to land in foreign markets.
