GOP representatives are pushing a bill to ban China from buying land in the US

In recent years, China has been able to buy large tracts of land in the US. Two GOP representatives are pushing a bill that would prevent China from buying land in the US.

TGP reported that China is buying land all over the country and no one is stopping them.

TGP, for example, reported that China is buying land near Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. This is obviously a very strategic location for the US military.

Two Republican members of Congress introduced legislation Thursday that would bar nonresident aliens, companies and other entities linked to the Chinese government from buying U.S. farmland

The People’s Republic of China Farmland Ban Act by Washington Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Dan Newhouse would also bar those interests from participating in US Department of Agriculture (USDA) programs other than food safety inspections, according to her press release. Grand Forks, North Dakota Mayor Brandon Bochenski announced Tuesday an effort to prevent China’s Fufeng Group from building a corn mill on 370 acres his city purchased near the Grand Forks Air Force Base, The Wall Street Journal reported. Bochenski and other local leaders celebrated the project when Fufeng Group’s decision to build in Grand Forks was announced in 2021, but Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Andrew Hunter said Jan. 27 that the Defense Department believes it poses a “significant threat to national security,” the WSJ reported .

Will the Democrats go along with this sensible national security bill or will they side with Fang Fang?
