Hayden Panettiere looked happy as she was spotted walking hand-in-hand with her ex’s brother.
The Nashville and Heroes star was recently granted a protection order against her ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson over allegations of abuse.
And she looked happier than ever as she walked holding hands with his brother, Zach Hickerson, in New York City.
Dressed casually in jeans, a Notorious BIG T-shirt and a denim jacket, Hayden, 30, was smiling from ear to ear as she walks alongside Zach, who was also casual in jeans and a T-shirt.
Zach, who is the founder of the Acts 321 church in South Carolina, held tightly onto Hayden’s hand and they appeared to be deep in conversation.
Hayden’s ex Brian was arrested on domestic violence charges in May, and it appears she’s since become close with his brother.
A source told People magazine: “Hayden and Zach are friends and have been for a while.”
Hayden began dating Brian last year, after her split from partner Wladimir Klitschko after nine years together.
Hayden and Brian had a few altercations, including the one in May when police became involved after it got violent.
Wladimir, a former boxing world champion, now lives in Ukraine with his and Hayden’s four-year-old daughter Kaya.
Hayden has spoken about her relationship with Wladimir, saying it’s very “respectful”.
She one said: “We’re still respectful of each other, and we still have that friendship with each other.
“It’s not a situation that you find yourself in all that often, so it’s a new one. But I think we’ve done a really good job.”
The pair welcomed Kaya, who Hayden says can speak multiple languages, in December 2014.
Hayden opened up about her battles with postnatal depression, something her Nashville character Juliette Barnes went through too, and how she was force to return to rehab as a result.
She and Wladimir dated from 2009 to 2011, but split and reconciled two years later.
They got engaged in October 2013, but split for good last August.
Mirror Online has contacted Hayden’s representatives for comment.
