Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles on television’s 24, Bosch and Timeless, died early this morning of cancer, her publicist confirmed to Deadline. She was 45 years old.
Wersching continued filming even after her diagnosis in 2020, with notable roles on Star Trek: Picard as the Borg Queen in Season 2 and The Rookie. She also provided the voice of Tess in the popular video game The Last Of Us, which was adapted into a TV series by HBO.
Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, issued a statement. “There is a big hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found a miracle in the simplest moment. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. »Go find him. It’s everywhere.’ And we will find him.
“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell COLORS! until we were out of earshot and out into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Goodbye my Buddie. “I love you little families…”
Jon Cassar, director and executive producer of 24, also paid tribute. “My heart is broken in more pieces than I can count. Annie came into my world with an open heart and an infectious smile. Flaunting such talent, she took my breath away. Annie became more than a work colleague, she became a true friend to me, my family and every member of the cast and crew who worked with her. She will be truly missed by them and the fans with whom she always found time to communicate. Annie, you will be missed, you left your mark and we are all the better for it.”
