“I always learned a lot from them”

AEW star Tay Melo reflected on working with KAIRI and IYO SKY during her time in WWE.

Melo, formerly known as Tay Conti, is currently signed to AEW, where she competes as a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society.

In a recent chat with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Melo discussed her goal to compete in Japan. She also reflected on her brief collaboration with Meiko Satomura in NXT.

“Going to Japan has been a dream for a long time, even before wrestling. I know I will learn a lot and it can change my career for the better, I remember I trained a little with Meiko Satomura in NXT, I asked her to help me with my strokes and the way she teaches, the way she moves is everything, I just adored it. I had the pleasure of working with KAIRI, Io Shirai (IYO SKY), and Shida and man I always learned a lot from them and I learned so much had fun, it’s really a style that I like and feel comfortable in. I’m super open to going to Japan, I really want to go, I’m waiting for the opportunity,” Tay Melo said.

Thanks to AEW’s collaboration with NJPW, a number of male superstars were able to compete in Japan. Recently, both Darby Allin and Sting also appeared for Pro Wrestling NOAH, teaming with The Great Muta.

Meanwhile, former AEW World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa has already competed against Miyu Yamashita. It was a non-title match at the TJPW Summer Sun Princess event.

AEW star Tay Melo has recently been feuding with Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale

Tay Melo was recently embroiled in a feud with Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. She crossed paths with two stars in two team matches in which Anna Jay AS also participated

The team consisting of Jay AS and Melo previously defeated Soho and Willow on an episode of Dynamite. Melo herself also suffered a singles loss to Soho, as the two ladies continued to feud after Soho’s return.

On the episode of Rampage, Soho and Willow ended their feud after defeating Mel and Jay AS in a Street Fight tag team match.
