Capital markets firm LaSalle Investment Management ( Securities ) trimmed its stake in 18 REITs during the fourth quarter and more than tripled its stake in healthcare REIT Ventas ( VTR ), according to a Feb. 7 report. by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
LaSalle increased its stake in VTR by 283.9% to 1,098,973 shares. The stock is valued at $49.5 million, according to the report.
Additionally, the investment manager boosted its stake in another healthcare REIT, Healthcare Realty Trust (HR) by 118.4% during the quarter.
The company reduced its stake in Healthpeak Properties (PEAK) by 94.8%, and in three other REITs, Host Hotels & Resorts (HST), Camden Property Trust (CPT) and SITE Centers (SITC) by more than 30% .
Currently, Prologis (PLD) holds the leading position in the company’s portfolio, with a stake worth $183.3 million.
PLD is followed by Public Storage ( PSA ) with a share of $127.4 million and then Equinix ( EQIX ) with a share of $124.4 million, according to the report.
