Old clips of the classic children’s TV show ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ are making the rounds on social media and are provoking people on the left because what Rogers is saying goes against the progressive view of transgenderism.
In our current environment, it’s easy to forget that just a few years ago the left’s stance on this issue was considered far outside the mainstream.
What Fred Rogers is saying in these videos is still the view of most Americans, despite the efforts of the media and Hollywood to normalize it.

A re-released ‘Mister Rogers’ video features the iconic TV star seemingly warning against transgenderism among children
An old clip of beloved children’s TV star Mister Rogers that resurfaced on TikTok in recent days has netizens wondering if the “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” character was warning society about promoting transgenderism among young children more than 40 years ago.
A video making the rounds on the popular social media platform shows the late TV icon Fred Rogers singing his song “Everybody’s Fancy.”
The song’s lyrics contain a simple message that boys’ and girls’ bodies have inherent differences and encourage children to find beauty and acceptance in those apparent differences.
Rogers sang the first verse in the video: “Boys are boys from the beginning, girls are girls from the beginning. Everyone is handsome, Everyone is well. Your body is fancy and so is mine.”
In the next stanza, Rogers sang about gender roles exclusively for each gender. He sang: “Girls grow up to be moms, boys grow up to be dads. Everyone is handsome, Everyone is fine. Your body is fancy and so is mine.”

Rogers elaborated on this point during an appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. To watch:
Mr. Rogers knew something back in 1980 and tried to warn us. We laughed at him because we thought what he said was nonsense and nonsense.
Now we live in a stupid and meaningless reality. pic.twitter.com/pMfUefOR4D

It’s a stark reminder of how far and fast we’ve drifted in our culture, which is exactly why it bothers the left.
