Positive news on WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler’s recovery from stroke

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a stroke this week, but is recovering well.

The 73-year-old appeared during the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show just days before at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. He was found outside his home in Orlando and was rushed to the hospital. Lawler is expected to make a full recovery from the stroke after spending some time in the hospital.

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell gave another positive piece of information about Jerry Lawler. Mantell spoke with Jerry’s son and learned that the King will be released from the hospital today to continue his recovery at his Florida condo:

“FROM KEVIN LAWLER: Jerry LAWLER is scheduled to be released this afternoon much earlier than planned. No confirmation yet if that has happened. Good news for Jerry. He will now undergo physical therapy and recover in Florida at his apartment. Good luck. πŸ€ @WSI_YouTube ” Dutch Mantell tweeted.

Dutch Mantell believes the WWE RAW star has a lot of upside

Cody Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble and will soon headline WrestleMania. Dutch Mantell believes that American Nightmare has even more advantages.

The legendary manager believes that Rhodes is unique because he can afford to lose. The American Nightmare is scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39. Tribal Chief will need to defeat Sami Zayn next Saturday at Elimination Chamber to enter WrestleMania as champion.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk Dutch wished Cody Rhodes success and pointed out that he has a bright future even if he loses:

“I wish him [Cody Rhodes] much success. I think all these things they [WWE] planned – they all have good points, you could have bad points, but I think Cody is a huge asset, even if he goes in there and loses. But that’s wrestling, it makes you think about the different ways they can go.” (2:20-2:47)
