Friendly Manchester rivalry is set for the streets of Cheshire after Raheem Sterling netted a £3.5million mansion close to Sir Alex Ferguson’s.
The winger, who left Liverpool for Manchester City over the summer, moved in to the six-bed property recently after settling well at his new club.
Sterling’s new place is said to boast a 30ft swimming pool as well as a cinema room and garage capable of housing three sports cars.

He’s a stone’s throw away from the area’s elite resident, Ferguson’s retirement becoming front-page news of the local newspaper – The Macclesfield Express, back in 2013 when he eventually called management a day.
One source told the Sun on Sunday they hope Sterling doesn’t live up to City’s ‘noisy neighbour’ tag: ‘Raheem didn’t know Sir Alex was a neighbour when he moved in, but he’s very happy there.
‘I hope he keeps the noise down or Fergie might give him the hairdryer treatment.’
Sterling put his Southport mansion – thought to be worth around £1.5m – up for sale in August, which was complete with Liverpool cushions and a Michael Jackson-themed bar.
There the England international also owned a swimming pool and a barber’s salon.

Sterling cost Manuel Pellegrini’s City £49m over the summer after his Liverpool exit and has scored five times in 19 Premier League starts.
That included a hat-trick against Bournemouth back in October and he is showing signs of paying back the huge transfer fees in the coming years.
Pep Guardiola will look to freshen the City squad on arrival in July but Sterling’s place in the Spaniard’s squad will be safe.
