Ricki Lake believes that her ex-husband who killed himself in 2017 helped her find love again.

The talk show host and X Factor : Celebrity star was married to Christian Evans from 2012 to 2015.

Two years after they split, he tragically took his own life at the age of 45.

But the star, 51, believes he helped her find love again by sending her new partner Jeffrey Scult to her.

Speaking on today’s Loose Women, she told the panel: “I do [believe that], I absolutely believe it because they are very similar.

“I definitely have a type but I do believe he wants me to find love again he doesn’t want me alone, I want to believe he had a hand in introducing me.

“He helped me to meet this new love in my life – not so new, our one year anniversary is next week.”

Ricki remained close friends with her ex-husband after their break-up and she says talking about him helps her heal.

She said: “It’s healing for me to share my story, as painful as it is. All of us experience mental illness – one in two of us is going to suffer from mental illness breakdown.
