Second marriage in another city

The twenty-first episode (Apple Podcasts link here and Spotify link here) of Strangers on the Internet with co-host and psychologist Michelle Lange shows a conversation with the married couple prof. By Talia Lerner and Phillip Nightingale. They are our first guest couple and Phillip is our first male guest on the podcast.

Northwestern University neuroscientist Talia didn’t think a heavily tattooed ex-military sniper would be in her romantic future, but he ended up shaking up the dating application process anyway. Phillip proved to be an engaging, open-minded poetry writing partner who would turn into a capable stepfather to her son and an involved father to their future daughter. Our Chicago-based couple came from different socioeconomic classes, ethnic backgrounds, and religions, and through therapy and strong communication forged a path to what became a happy second marriage for both of them.

How did Phillip give up his plan to travel the world and instead decide to become an academic husband? And what were the reasons Talia agreed to add a the third child to their family when initially Phillip’s criticism of her parenting of his oldest child on their first trip to the zoo together almost led to the end of the relationship? Stay tuned to the Midwest for this modern love story you don’t want to miss!
