Selena Quintanilla’s household is bidding farewell to their beloved patriarch.
The late Tejano music icon’s father Abraham Quintanilla, who was instrumental in forming his kids’s band Selena y Los Dinos, died Dec. 13. He was 86.
Abraham’s son Abraham “A.B.” Quintanilla III confirmed the information on Instagram, writing alongside a photograph of his dad, “It’s with a heavy coronary heart to allow you to guys know that my Dad handed away at this time…”

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Abraham pursued a profession in music within the singing group Los Dinos, although he left the band within the late Nineteen Sixties to lift his household with spouse Marcella Quintanilla.
