Some liberal cities are planning to ban police from stopping certain types of traffic.
One would think that after all the nonsense of ‘withholding’ money from the police and the ensuing crime problems, the people who live in these cities would be tired of progressive law enforcement.
This will only make things worse.

Forget ‘Quit the Police’: There’s a new movement to handcuff cops
Leaders in a number of states and cities are making efforts to ban police from pulling over drivers for certain less serious traffic violations, a move that some experts believe threatens public safety.
Lawmakers in Washington state are pushing a plan that would ban police traffic stops to address low-level traffic violations, and Oregon has already instituted a similar policy, while San Francisco is considering such a citywide plan after Los Angeles and Minneapolis launched their own. Such restrictions could effectively prevent enforcement of more serious crimes and put innocent civilians at risk, according to experts who spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Heritage Foundation legal associate Zack Smith said measures of this nature are “normal” in the ongoing “war on police officers across the county, effectively handcuffing them, not allowing them to do their jobs.”
“I think many who support these bills would say that these types of supposedly minor offenses are disproportionately used as an excuse to stop black people or other minorities in their communities,” Smith told DCNF. “But what police officers are finding is that when they’re not allowed to enforce the laws that are on the books, that essentially leads to an increase in under-policing in many of these communities.”
This is madness.
Washington Democrats want to ban almost ALL police traffic stops – many of which help stop drivers under duress.
Washington Democrats also want to lower the BAC to 0.05%, but they still won’t *really* allow cops to intervene.

Right on cue, liberals are all pushing the same idea.
If we want to reduce the number of deaths at the hands of the police, we need to reduce traffic congestion https://t.co/Z2PuGquPIo

It’s amazing that the left is still pushing to make law enforcement less effective.
