Royal Rumble 2023 is upon us, bringing a bunch of big surprises and the return of WWE. Another former champion is reportedly backstage, so proceed with caution if you want to avoid spoilers for the short time until the Rumble matches begin.

Mike Johnson reported on it PWInsider Elite that former WWE Superstar Nia Jax is backstage at the Royal Rumble and should return in the Women’s Rumble match. It is unknown if the former RAW Women’s Champion will return for one night or another full-time stint with the company.
Xero news also teased on Twitter that Jax would be returning at the Rumble.
She last wrestled in September 2021, losing to Shayne Baszler on RAW. WWE released her in November, along with several other names. Nia Jax should now join some of them as she likely returns to the company under the creative direction of Triple Ha with her anticipated Rumble appearance.
However, all eyes will be on Nia’s cousin, The Rock, whose return has been heavily speculated following rumors about the Royal Rumble match order. It will be interesting to see how both appear in apparently very different contexts.
