Geelong ahead Gryan Miers is all for the Cats making an attempt to lure Gold Coast star Matt Rowell to GMHBA Stadium.
Miers, who spends his off-field time within the AFL membership’s recruitment division, stated the logic for Geelong pursuing Rowell was “fairly easy”.
Out of contract on the finish of the 12 months, Rowell has been linked with Geelong after reportedly assembly with Cats officers within the low season.
The 23-year-old contested bull is hoped to bolster a Geelong midfield that includes veterans Patrick Dangerfield, Cam Guthrie and Mitch Duncan.
Drafted to the Suns in 2019 with the prized first general decide, Rowell completed the 2024 season with a mean of 23.4 disposals, 7.1 clearances and eight tackles a match below coach Damien Hardwick.
“He’s probably the greatest gamers within the league, so it’s fairly easy,” Miers stated on Wednesday.

Suns teammate Ben Ainsworth hoped Rowell would decide to remain.
