The Atlanta Falcons have had their share of talented players since their inception in 1966. However, when it comes to the greatest ever, one name immediately comes to mind: Deion Sanders.

Sanders played for the Falcons for five seasons, from 1989 to 1993, and his impact cannot be overstated. With the Falcons, Sanders was not only one of the league’s best cornerbacks, but also one of the most electrifying players in NFL history.
Sanders was a dominant force, earning two first-team All-Pro selections and the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year award (while with the San Francisco 49ers). He was also a dynamic returner, returning three punts for touchdowns and two kickoffs for touchdowns with the Falcons. He was a key part of the Falcons’ success in the early 1990s, helping them reach the playoffs in 1991 and 1992.
Off the field, Sanders was known for his flamboyant personality and commitment to giving back to the community. He is still a favorite person in Atlanta to this day.
After retiring in 2005, Sanders was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
