WWE legend and Hollywood icon The Rock, also known as Dwayne Johnson, has been called out by AEW star Lance Archer.
Archer, currently signed to AEW, previously worked for WWE. He also has experience working in Japan under New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Taking to Twitter, Archer warned The Great One and further challenged him to a showdown in the upcoming Arlington Renegades game.
“Hey @TheRock if you’re going to be at the @XFLRenegades game on Saturday. We’ll meet at the 50 yd line! What do you say?” wrote Lance Archer.

Ricky Steamboat stated that Roman Reigns does not want to be in The Rock’s shadow
The Rock and Roman Reigns have shared screens in WWE and in Hollywood under the Fast and Furious franchise.
Speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, veteran Ricky Steamboat discussed Roman Reigns, recalling what The Tribal Chief was like when he was still training. He said:
“Probably one of the nicest, most respectful and kindest guys in that school at the time.”
Steamboat went on to mention that Reigns wanted to step out of The Great One’s shadow despite having the potential to be in Hollywood. The main WWE star was more focused on taking care of her family and children.
“He was a guy who would open up and try to do anything to make him better. He didn’t want to be a shadow of The Rock, and he had the face of a Hollywood movie star. And that was a big plus, wasn’t it there for the girls. But a very tight family a man, with his family, his children, very tight.”
Archer may be part of AEW, but he hasn’t been booked in a while. Thanks to the promotion’s collaboration with NJPW, the former IWGP US Heavyweight Champion was also able to return to Japan.
