The United Arab Emirates-based Streit Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of armored vehicles, still promotes Russian-made combat vehicles on its website and promotions.
The Streit Group has released a promotional video on its YouTube channel containing footage of the VPK-Ural vehicle developed and manufactured in Russia by the Military-Industrial Company (VPK).
VPK-Ural is Russia’s first 4×4 protected utility vehicle based on the Ural family chassis.

This type of vehicle was also captured by Ukrainian soldiers.
According to some reports, such as the TASS report, the armored vehicle can carry 12 people, provides protection against 7.62 mm armor-piercing rounds and can withstand an IED attack with an explosive weight of up to 6 kg. It is powered by a 360 hp YaMZ-536 turbo diesel engine, which achieves a road speed of 100 km/h and a cruising range of up to 1000 km.
VPK-Ural weighs 14.5 tons and is 6500 mm long, 2550 mm wide and 2800 mm high.
Also on the company’s website is a completely similar vehicle called Condor, which completely repeats the design and body elements of the Russian Ural-VPK.
On top of that, promoting the well-known Tigr armored all-terrain vehicle under the name Falcon with all-terrain vehicles ‘Shaman’ (manufactured by Avtoros) and GAZ-3344-20 ‘Aleut’ (manufactured by the Zavolzhsky Plant of Tracked Tractors ZZGT).
Such a close relationship between the company and Russia in the context of the bloody war in Ukraine looks rather dubious and raises many questions, although the UAE has not formally joined the sanctions against the Putin regime.
