Mo Bamba was part of a crazy trade deadline after the Orlando Magic traded him to the LA Lakers in exchange for Patrick Beverley. After it was announced that Orlando had traded him, Bamba quickly posted a picture of him with a U-Haul truck behind him, sending fans into a frenzy.
After several sources confirmed that Bamba’s store was official, many thought it was hilarious that he posted a photo with a U-Haul truck on social media.
Luckily for fans, Bamba has a valid reason for the picture. He said the truck was not for him, but for his mother.
“I swear to everyone, that picture was, it was a divine moment and I had no idea I was going to be traded. And it seems like I had things ready to go.”
He added:
“But the U-Haul was actually for my mom. I had to move some stuff over to her place, but it seemed pretty appropriate. So, you know, I was just taking a picture and I wanted to say thank you to the fans and the people of Orlando.”
After his trade, Bamba thanked the Orlando Magic before leaving for Los Angeles.
“To my Magic teammates, coaches, support staff and fans…thank you all,” Bamba wrote.

Mo Bamba gives the Lakers an improvement on defense
The Lakers have struggled to find a reliable rim protector outside of Anthony Davis. Fortunately for the team, their recent move in exchange for Bamba will strengthen their defensive identity.
Bamba averages a block per game, and can stretch the defense when needed. In the current part of the season, he averages 7.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
