Brand new episode Danger! Season 39 aired on Friday, featuring one-day champion Sharon Stone and two new players. The returning champion is the manager from Round Rock, Texas, who earned a total of $17,000 in her first game when she defeated two-day winner Lisa Siren on Thursday’s episode.
The Game Show has been a fan favorite for decades. The Emmy-winning quiz show first launched on March 30, 1964, and ran until 1975. Danger! then came back in 1984 and is still going strong.
In the final episode of Season 39, returning champion Sharon played against two newcomers – Brittany Shaw, a senior insurance appraiser from Joliet, Illinois, and Jen Petro-Roy, a writer from Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Today’s Danger! the winner is Sharon Stone
After winning her first game on the March 30 episode, Sharon Stone continued her winning streak in her second game. She played the entire episode brilliantly.
In the first round, categories included “Health and Medicine, That, Or A Golf Thing, Vermont, Songs from the 60s Musical, Hey, Big Spender, Sweet Charity.”
Returning champion Sharon had a blast in the first round as she found the first Daily Double and answered four questions correctly for $1,000. She didn’t lead the game at first because Jen Petro-Roy was first with the maximum number of correct answers. But Sharon’s $1,000 questions helped her take the lead in Round 1. Brittany Shaw, on the other hand, had a hard time giving correct answers and thus her score was negative.
Player scores in the first round were Sharon at $6,200, Jen at $5,200, and Brittany at -$400.
In the second round of episodes hosted by Ken Jennings, the categories included “Oh, Literary Places You Don’t Want to Go!”, Talk Politics, Last Lines of Movies, Up to the Tower!, Ancient Vips, Word Pairs of Consecutive Letters .”
The Daily Jeopardy round came with two Daily Doubles — one went to Brittany and the other to Sharon. The senior insurance appraiser finally managed to get out of the red zone. She played pretty well as Brittany placed second. Sharon continued to lead the game, while Jen’s ranking dropped from second to third. However, Brittany and Jen weren’t far behind each other as the former was in the lead by just $400.
Round two player scores were Sharon with $15,500, Brittany with $6,800 and Jen with $6,400.
The Final Jeopardy round showed that today is Sharon’s day. She was the only player who gave the correct answer to the last question. While she was first in the standings in the final round, Jen was able to finish second and Brittany took third.
So Sharon Stone won Danger! today.

In the March 31 episode, the category for the final round was “City History” and the last question/clue was:
“More than 700 years after the traditional founding date of 1252, this port city has become associated with a psychological reaction.”
The correct answer to the last clue was “Stockholm”.
Only Sharon got the answer right, while Jen wrote “Somalia” and Brittany guessed “Pavlova.”

With today’s victory, Sharon became the two-day champion of season 39. If she wins two more matches, she can advance to Tournament of Champions.
