Harmanpreet Kaur has sent a message to the Indian team after their historic triumph in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa. The captain of the senior T20I team praised the young girls for their efforts and pointed out that they are a motivation for the senior girls.
India made history in South Africa by defeating England in the first final of the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup on Sunday (January 29). Titas Sadhu was the architect of India’s victory as her brilliant spell of 4-0-6-2 restricted England to a total of 68 runs. Soumya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha scored 24 runs each to help India become world champions.
Commenting on the team’s championship win, Harmanpreet Kaur tweeted:

Coach Nooshin Al Khadeer played a key role in India’s triumph in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. Reflecting on the team’s performance after their win against England in the final, Nooshin said;
“It was special to play in this final from the moment the national anthems were sung to the moment we won here. We have been waiting for this moment for a long time and Indian women’s cricket has a very good future.”
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on February 10. India’s first match is against Pakistan on February 12.
